Coach Chris Kamp

Coach Chris is certified through the International Youth Conditioning Association as an Olympic Lift Instructor and as a High School Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Coach Chris is a sports performance, weightlifting, and youth development coach out of Clermont Fl, "The Choice of Champions!" and competes as a nationally competitive weightlifter himself.

Chris began his journey in weightlifting as a high school student. As soon as Chris joined the weightlifting team, he fell in love with the sport. This was evident in his performances, the first year he competed he qualified for state championships and by his second year competing he became a state champion.

Immediately after high school in 2010 to 2011, Chris join an Olympic weightlifting club called Accel Sports Performance (the 2010 and 2011 National Jr Men's Team Champions.) Chris most note worth performance at this time was at the 2010 American Open Championship were he placed 4th in his weight-class at the age of 19.

​It wasn't very much time into his adventure as a weightlifter that he discovered his second love, coaching. His first year on the Tavares weightlifting team he was the team captain, and one year after he graduated he volunteered at Tavares as the assistant weightlifting coach for two seasons of boy's weightlifting and one season of girl's weightlifting under the FHSAA. Chris volunteered coaching even after he joined the Marine Corp, as a matter of fact, Chris Coached at the 2012 FHSAA State Championships while he was on Leave after completing Marine Corp Recruit Training.
Chris served in the Marine Corp for 4 years and did 2 combat tours in Afghanistan (OEF 14.1 & 14.2) during 2014. While serving as a Marine Chris continued his education earning Coaching Certifications and gaining leadership experience. Chris ended his military career as a sergeant.
Once Chris left the Marine Corp he started competing and coaching in the sport of weightlifting again. Chris is the 2017 FWF State Champion for the 85kg weight class. Chris also lifted at the 2017 American open and qualified for the 2018 Senior National Championships.
Chris is also a strength and conditioning coach who has trained athletes from a variety of sports and ages. Coach Chris has trained a Swimmer preparing for the Olympic Trials, combat athletes, all the way to middle school girl's soccer athletes. Chris has also been consulted for his expertise in strength and power by the Nation Training Center's swim team, and in collaboration with AMP'd wrote the strength and conditioning program for IWU, Indiana Wesleyan University, men's soccer team.

Currently, Chris coaches weightlifting for the Champion Sports Performance weightlifting team (a satellite team of Vero Beach Weightlifting) and runs a development program called Learn to Lift to teach anyone of any sport (or lack thereof) to lift weights safely, effectively, and correctly. Chris also works with AMP’D (Athletic Movement & Performance Dynamics) as their Strength and Power Coach for their athlete training camps.
Coach Jenny Kamp
Swim Coach & Aquatic Coordinator at the NTC
Coach Jenny has tremendous experience coaching athletes of all ages. Coach Jenny is a certified swim coach, and coordinates the swim programs at the National Training Center. Coach Jenny provides swim instruction for both survival and competitive swim techniques. In a one year span of time, she taught over 100 participants how to swim, and qualified over 20 youth athletes for the Nation Training Center's swim team. Coach Jenny also instructed the Home-school P.E. program for South Lake Hospital. Coach Jenny is also a tremendously well rounded athlete herself, in her Middle School to High School years she played basket ball, ran track, and swam competitively.
